[Katsuki says "don't panic" and Yoosung's body almost takes it as an order, shutting down the anxiety and letting him focus again, breathe. Slow exhale, inhale. Sort of like when Katsuki had found him right after he'd revived.]
Okay.
[Once he's been lowered, he careful shifts his weight so he can sit back up, all weight on one of Katsuki's arms again before he finds his footing.]
[Oh, he impressed him. It's funny, because the anxiety was more about Katsuki discovering the whole thing was sort of turning him on, more than the fear of being dropped.
He's still blushing as he stands on solid ground again (or, well, the training mat). He looks at Katsuki with awe in his eyes.]
Yeah... You really are strong, I've never seen anyone do that with an actual person before... I wonder how high you could lift me with us both standing upright...
[File that away for later. He might give it a go. See if he can impress Yoosung again. But not right this moment.]
I'm going to show you some basic defensive maneuvers. We'll start slow. See how long it takes for you to get them down. But first, you need to stretch a bit. Get yourself warmed up.
[So he's going to go through some basic stretching with him first.]
This way you get yourself ready for the workout. It makes it less likely you'll hurt yourself.
[Yoosung remembers doing this sort of stuff in school during P.E. but it's definitely been a while since he'd last done it. Still, muscle memory and Katsuki's instructions and watching him do it means the stretching goes pretty smoothly.
Once they're done, he even feels a lot less tense! Hm. He probably doesn't have the greatest posture when he's gaming at the computer, now that he thinks about it. Though to be fair, he's been doing less of that lately what with dealing with the aftermath of August's events and hanging out with Katsuki.]
[Katsuki sets to work teaching Yoosung some basic self defense moves. And everything goes pretty well. Up until he decides to show him how to escape being grabbed from behind.]
Just lift--
[He hoists Yoosung up with ease. Like he weighs nothing at all.]
[While technically this move isn't supposed to require much strength, and Yoosung knows this because why else would Katsuki be teaching it to him, that doesn't stop the way his head spins or his heart flips at being so easily manhandled... And dropped onto his back.
That's supposed to be what happens, anyway. He's supposed to land on his back on the training mat. What actually happens though is on the way down there's the sound of ripping fabric and a spray of feathers and suddenly Yoosung's landing on wings, the back of his shirt ripped apart.
His eyes go wide, he feels a sensation of panic in his chest and he scrambles to try and get back up, but his weight and center of gravity feel thrown by the white wings, the span of which are about the length of his arms stretched out wide.]
[Katsuki stares in surprise as wings spread out behind Yoosung as he goes down. Watching Yoosung scramble, he grabs for his hands to help him up. Even as his eyes still follow the fluttering of those wings.]
You have wings. What the hell?
[Is it weird to reach out and touch one once he's got Yoosung upright? Because he's reaching out to touch one.]
[Grateful, Yoosung takes Katsuki's hands and help to bring himself back to his feet, and then he turns his head this way and that, trying to get a good look at the wings.
White feathers...?
He misses what Katsuki is doing until he actually feels the touch, which is shocking even though it doesn't actually feel like much. It's still a new area, a new part of him, that's never been touched before.]
I... I definitely felt that. These... These are a part of me...
[He flaps them once, experimentally, eyes going wide again as he looks to Katsuki, as if for guidance, as if the other young man might have any experience with sudden wing growth.]
[He can't help a small shiver work through him, more from the knowledge of what Katsuki's doing (and who it is doing it!) than the actual feel of it, since the individual feathers themselves don't really hold any nerve endings.
Yoosung shakes his head at the question, face a little flushed.]
No... Not any that I've seen. No powers or wings or anything like that...
[He is getting a thought, but... He's almost a little afraid to ask Katsuki about it, scared to have it shot down but also scared to have the idea confirmed. It's scary either way.]
[Oh, well, yup, definitely more nerve endings there, more than there usually are on his admittedly already somewhat sensitive back. (Who are we kidding, all of him is sensitive and ticklish.)
He squirms lightly, breath picking up for a moment before he nods, concentrating as he folds and then stretches the wings, first both together and then one followed by the other.]
It's like... Having another pair of arms... Only on my back...?
[If Katsuki is waiting for Yoosung to tell him to stop, that moment might never come. He's really enjoying the fact that Katsuki is so fascinated with these sudden wings, that he's essentially petting him.
He's blushing hard now, especially at Katsuki's wondering. He can't very well say "because I got excited being dropped to the mat by you."]
[Yoosung's eyes widen at that. Did Katsuki just come to the same conclusion that he did?]
Y-you think so too? M... Maybe I am. Maybe that's how I-- Oh!!
[He hurries over to his bag suddenly, tripping on the way over and falling to his knees but it's fine, there's the mat, he's fine. He ignores the fact he's on his knees now and opens his bag to pull out his ARCUS.]
The stone!! The glowing stone in here has a symbol of wings and a halo!
[Yoosung nods, handing over the device and watching Katsuki as his wings fold again behind him.]
Well, Jun and Rhel thought this was how I came back to life, too, so... It would make sense maybe that it's all connected?
[Another realization.]
Ah, but... I didn't have it on me when the wings appeared, and I have to in order to make the balls of light...
[And probably to come back to life, too.
It occurs to him then that while he can't control that power, maybe he can control the wings in more than just opening and closing them?
Closing his eyes, he focuses with them folded, thinking about folding them even further into himself... And they do, in fact, disappear, leaving only a few feathers on the ground and his ripped top as evidence they were even there.]
[Probably Yoosung should have predicted that Katsuki would touch his back, considering he's been surprisingly handsy already today, but... The feeling still catches him off-guard and knocks the air out of his lungs as he visibly shivers. Is his back more sensitive now even without the wings out?]
Ah... I... I think my back might be more... more sens-- ticklish? Than it was before, though... Maybe?
[The only reason he's not entirely sure is because he doesn't often have people touching his bare back, palm to skin.]

I-it's really impressive!! H... How do I get down?!
[Shouting louder than he means to, whoops.]
no subject
[He brings Yoosung carefully back down.]
no subject
Okay.
[Once he's been lowered, he careful shifts his weight so he can sit back up, all weight on one of Katsuki's arms again before he finds his footing.]
no subject
[He waits until Yoosung is fully back on his feet to sit up. He isn't sure if he managed to impress Yoosung or just spook him...]
Ready to get started?
no subject
He's still blushing as he stands on solid ground again (or, well, the training mat). He looks at Katsuki with awe in his eyes.]
Yeah... You really are strong, I've never seen anyone do that with an actual person before... I wonder how high you could lift me with us both standing upright...
no subject
What, that wasn't enough for you?
[Teasing as he gets to his feet.]
no subject
It... It just makes me wonder, I guess! So, um, what do I do now...?
no subject

Phew...
no subject
Just lift--
[He hoists Yoosung up with ease. Like he weighs nothing at all.]
--and drop.
[Down Yoosung goes onto the mat.]
no subject
That's supposed to be what happens, anyway. He's supposed to land on his back on the training mat. What actually happens though is on the way down there's the sound of ripping fabric and a spray of feathers and suddenly Yoosung's landing on wings, the back of his shirt ripped apart.

They're soft...
[And pretty.]
Did you have wings in those memories you've been getting?
no subject
Yoosung shakes his head at the question, face a little flushed.]
No... Not any that I've seen. No powers or wings or anything like that...
[He is getting a thought, but... He's almost a little afraid to ask Katsuki about it, scared to have it shot down but also scared to have the idea confirmed. It's scary either way.]

Can you move them?
no subject

It's like... Having another pair of arms... Only on my back...?
no subject
Pretty cool.
[He can't help but run his hand over the soft feathers again. They're so pretty and he's never seen wings this up close before.]
Wonder why they suddenly appeared...
no subject
He's blushing hard now, especially at Katsuki's wondering. He can't very well say "because I got excited being dropped to the mat by you."]
M-maybe because I was falling...?
[Look that could also be a possibility!!]
no subject
Maybe you're turning into a bird.
[Although...]
They kind of make me think of those pictures people draw of angels.
no subject
Y-you think so too? M... Maybe I am. Maybe that's how I-- Oh!!

no subject
You think it's because of this?
[He's thinking some effect of it. Not... that it's because of the dying and coming back.]
no subject
Well, Jun and Rhel thought this was how I came back to life, too, so... It would make sense maybe that it's all connected?
[Another realization.]

Ah...?!
no subject
Let me see.
[Once Yoosung turns around, Katsuki investigates. His hand brushing over his back. Checking for any sign of the wings.]
Huh. Nothing. It's like they were never there.
no subject
Ah... I... I think my back might be more... more sens-- ticklish? Than it was before, though... Maybe?
