And okay that's clicking for him. He's terrible at figuring out emotions. But something like this? Yeah... the pieces are falling into place there. Yoosung sounds like a guy who has just discovered something about himself.

Katsuki stares at him, trying to decide how he feels about his part in this discovery. How should one feel about helping a friend discover a kink?]

[He doesn't really care what anyone thinks and he's made that very clear. But he thinks maybe Yoosung isn't considering their location right now and this was clearly no longer a joke?]

[Okay, first of all, Katsuki brought it up. Second of all, he didn't technically help him discover the kink! Just the name for it! Yoosung was already aware he enjoyed pain. (Not, like, all pain, for the record. Being gored by a triceratops still massively sucked, and you can quote him on that.)

He's right that Yoosung isn't considering their location, and Katsuki's question helps bring him back to where they actually physically are. However. He also thinks at first that Katsuki is suggesting something with that question that he's probably not actually suggesting.]

[He's absolutely not suggesting anything.]

Just didn't think you wanted to have this conversation here? I don't really care. But you seem like you're having a moment here.

[This is more of a relief than a disappointment because it is A Lot to fully wrap his head around.

His shoulders drop and he gives a sigh before he mulls it over.]

Well... It might get kinda melty on the way back because of the heat? But I'm sure my cats wouldn't mind seeing you again...

[He shrugs.]

[A look of confusion passes over his face again, but... Katsuki said no questions! So he won't ask questions. That's probably fair.

He smiles though at Katsuki calling them furballs.]

You just better be careful around Rika, okay? She's gotten into a habit of stealing things, especially shiny things.

I knew she was a troublemaker. She has the look of a troublemaker.

[That sounds like approval in his tone. Maybe even fondness.]

Let's order our yogurt and go then. More comfortable to kick back on a couch anyway. Maybe watch something.

[Why does Katsuki being fond of his cats even make his heart skip a beat? That dumb crooked half-smile he did earlier when he said he'd never been aggressive a day in his life had also almost done him in.

He laughs. Giggles? It could maybe be classified as a giggle.]

I'm sure she'd say the same about you. And that sounds fun! Probably good to unwind like that after everything.

[Once they get back to Yoosung's apartment with their frozen yogurt, both Rika and Hana come running to greet them at the sound of the door opening.

Rika pretends to be more interested in their food than she is them, and Hana joyfully weaves in and out between their legs, rubbing up against them and purring.

Yoosung laughs, trying to navigate between the cats to head to the sofa.]

You'd think I'd just returned from a war!

[Katsuki takes a second to bend down and scratch behind Hana's ears, careful to keep his food out of reach. And if Rika will let him he'll do the same for her.]

Hey troublemaker.

[Then he makes his way to the sofa to flop down, ready to eat his frozen yogurt.]

Must be nice having someone around that's excited to see you when you get home.

[Rika looks at him like she's annoyed by it, but she doesn't actually move away when he does it. Maybe she's just as tsundere as Katsuki is?

Yoosung sets his frozen yogurt on the coffee table then heads to the kitchen for spoons. He hands one to Katsuki when he returns, then takes a seat next to him, though not quite as close as they were last time they were sitting here.

Hana moves to her brand new tall cat tree in the corner of the room, and Rika follows Yoosung around. Once he's seated, he takes the extra spoon he brought over, scoops a little of his frozen yogurt, then hands the spoon to Rika.]

Okay, that's all you're getting, though!

[With wide eyes, the Pokemon takes the spoon and runs off down the hall with it like she's just been given a treasure she must guard with her life.]

[Tsun meets tsun. Hard to say how that'll go. But he kind of already likes both Rika and Hana.]

You weren't kidding about her loving shiny things, huh?

[He takes a bite of his yogurt as he sinks back against the couch. Nice and cold. Perfect treat for a hot day.]

[He laughs, settling in with his own spoon and frozen yogurt, crunching on the fruity pebbles sprinkled on top.]

Mm, kinda hard to say whether she was more excited about the food or the spoon! She will probably keep and hide the spoon when she's through with it, though.

[He glances over at Katsuki with a smile, then nods to his tiger's blood froyo.]

You like it?

Heh. Bet she gives you a headache stashing things.

[He's turning it over in his head. That she likes shiny things. Maybe...]

It's good. Kind of tart, kind of sweet. You don't have bad taste, I guess. B plus.

Yeah, especially when it's stuff I don't even know where it came from! She's a hassle sometimes but I'm still glad I found her.

[And basically tripped and fell into catching her in a PokeBall. That sure was something.

[Not responding to the accusation of calling him sweet though, he just eats more of his frozen yogurt, looking away with a smile and a light blush. Those might be semi-permanent around Katsuki now. Especially the latter thing.]

Did you wanna watch something?

[....

Katsuki gives him a suspicious look.]

...damn straight I am.

[He's sure he's missed something here and that annoys him. But he huffs, slouching as he shoves another bite of frozen yogurt in his mouth.]

Whatever. Put something on.

[blurrier]

[Yoosung takes the remote from a side table and turns on the TV, opening up a streaming app for anime and putting on Vampire Hunt.]

Mm? This okay?

[He mumbles the question to Katsuki with his spoon in his mouth, still holding the remote.

Rika is sidling back into the living room at this point, looking bored and uninterested.]

[Katsuki only has to hear the first few notes of the opening and he knows what it is. Sitting up a little straighter he shoots Yoosung a glance.]

This is fine. You ever watched any of it before?

[blurrier]

[Putting down the remote and then taking the spoon from his mouth, Yoosung nods with a smile, then turns his head towards the corner with the cat tree.]

Hana~ ♡

[He calls the cat's name sweetly, and her little white face pokes out of the enclosed space on the tree. Yoosung only has to call her name one more time before she comes out and joins them on the couch. Rika watches with her arms crossed.]

I named Hana for the main character!

[He points her out on the screen.]

Have you seen it?

[He spies Rika looking moody as they're talking. Right... he goes into his pocket for his keys as he answers.]

Yeah. I'm all caught up. I'm guessing if you named your cat after Hana, you must like her. So here's the question.

[He unclips a keychain from his keys and holds it out in Rika's direction. Offering it up. It's just a cheap little thing he picked up on clearance. But it's shiny.]

Who should she end up with?

[Rika's eyes sparkle at the appearance of the shiny thing on offer, and she looks up at Katsuki warily as she approaches, slowly, so slowly, then snatches the keychain and dashes off down the hall again, practically bounding in what is clearly joy at a new shiny object.

Yoosung is momentarily stunned by this whole interaction, and he's looking at Katsuki with wide sparkly eyes himself, feeling like his heart is beating double time in his chest. If Katsuki was looking for a way to charm him even harder, being unexpectedly nice to his cats was absolutely the way to go. Especially by indulging one of their weird quirks, it feels... Very sweet, no matter how Katsuki might reject that term.

Oh... Oh, he missed Katsuki's question entirely. Face flushed, he stammers.]

Ah-- Um... Wh-what..? Hana...?

[callmekacchan]

[Gremlin solidarity. What can he say? He has a fondness for troublemakers. He shoves his keys back in his pocket. Repeats the question.]

Who should Hana choose?

[The anime. Right.]

Ummm, I dunno, I guess I haven't decided yet? I like all the characters, so I think I'd be happy with whoever... I guess I just want whoever will make Hana the happiest, you know?
