[Katsuki lets Hana into his lap with no protest. Absently giving her attention while he watches the show. He guesses maybe he's becoming a cat person.
He's never had a pet before. The closest he's come were the beetles he used to catch as a kid which he always had to let go again. But both Hana and Rika have kind of won him over in their own ways.
He glances at Yoosung when he scoots closer. This guy is always in his personal space...
And then he says that. Just blurting out whatever comes to mind. He's sort of blunt and honest in his own way. Even if it's in a different way from Katsuki.]
What you seriously don't believe you have a squishy face?
[He reaches up and catches Yoosung's cheek between his thumb and pointer finger, giving a little tug. Teasing and brief.]
See? Squishy. Got that innocent look. Nothing threatening about you in the least.
[He may perfectly well believe him that he has a squishy face, he just weirdly wants Katsuki to bully him a little? This is fine and normal.
Except he's only just now realizing this, too, may play into the whole Masochist thing and maybe it was super weird for him to have brought it up now. Well. It's done now and he'll just have to try and be more careful and aware in the future!!
Regardless, Katsuki gives his cheek a small pinch and Yoosung laughs, and there's genuine joy in the sound even as he swats at Katsuki's hand on instinct.]

[He whines as Katsuki pinches his other cheek, then holds his hands over both very pink cheeks and pouts at his friend, eyes wide and puppy-dog.]

[With no verbal response heard, Yoosung glances up from watching Hana and notices that Katsuki is kind of... Frozen. Yoosung probably said too much, but... They can come back from this! He can pretend it didn't mean anything, maybe? Or just go on like he didn't say it. That's probably the best route.
He carefully scoops Hana up into his arms and stands up.]
Okay, kitties, time for food~ Rika!
[He leaves Katsuki where he is for now and heads to the kitchen with Hana, calling for Rika a second time before she comes dashing back in, minus the keychain. She stops on her way to the kitchen to look curiously at Katsuki, though.
There's sounds of Yoosung in the kitchen, cooing at Hana (and her meowing back) as he gets food for her. Rika ignores that in favor of checking out Katsuki, walking over to him and looking up at him for a moment before pulling herself up onto the couch to sit next to him.]
[He registers Yoosung is moving and realizes he was probably quiet too long. Maybe he's the one making it weird? Yoosung doesn't seem terribly troubled...?
But it gives him a second to breathe and let it sink in. As he's sitting there rolling it around in his head, Rika joins him.
...He has been deemed more interesting than food. He reaches out to scratch between her ears absently as he considers that maybe Yoosung was messing with him back?
But now the idea is in his head. It... wouldn't be a bad thing would it? If Yoosung liked him? But he was probably reading something into it that wasn't there?
He might need to sit on this and... maybe pay closer attention to things?]
[Rika's ears flick at the scratching, but she doesn't seem to mind it, even if she doesn't lean into his touch like sweet Hana does.
She looks up at him when he speaks, and it's clear she understands what he's saying, which makes sense, because Pokemon have to understand the commands their trainers give. Her look is thoughtful before she moves to get off the couch, but when she turns to face him, she's holding her paw out like she wants to give him something.]
[Yoosung watches the exchange from the hallway with a smile.]
Those coins of hers come out of nowhere. I can never tell if she's creating them somehow or getting them from somewhere? I probably should be learning more about Pokemon in addition to Earth animals.
[He laughs a little. Rika looks at Yoosung and then back to Katsuki. She gives him a nod and then hurries past Yoosung to the kitchen.]
[Katsuki studies him quietly for a moment. No sign of anything off that he can pick up. That doesn't mean much. But still... Yoosung definitely must have been messing with him.
For some reason he's dissatisfied with that conclusion.
He shoves the coin in his pocket and decides to just... pretend nothing happened. How hard could it be?]
[Yoosung feels a confusing mixture of relief and disappointment. He's relieved that Katsuki no longer seems... Frozen? But he's a little disappointed because he didn't really get an answer, Katsuki's not telling him he's his favorite person to mess with. That wouldn't even have to mean anything romantic, even best friends could have a preference like that, right?
He drops his gaze as Katsuki studies him, blushing a little again, but he was also doing that sort of thing before he ever said that to Katsuki, so maybe he won't see it as anything weird.]
Mm. I've always liked them, but it wasn't until Hana and Rika showed up that I realized maybe I want to be a vet? I want to be able to take care of them correctly, because I've never actually had my own pet.
Maybe a little extreme, I guess... But I also want to be helpful, so... I think what I learn could also be applied somewhat to humans when needed too! Like more serious first aid stuff?
[He gives a little shrug, looking over at the TV for a moment where the anime is still running.]
I know you heal fast, but I like taking care of you when you're hurt too, so I think I'm probably aiming myself at the right field now...
[Of course that may also have something to do just with the fact that it's Katsuki, and there's a closeness and intimacy to taking care of him that way.]

Katsuki’s expression briefly falters. And then he's putting a hand on Yoosung's face and pushing on him. There's literally no reason to do this. It's not even like Yoosung was that close.]

[Maybe. Kind of. But still. He's kind of dug himself a hole now? He can't come back to get patched up again unless Yoosung like... insists or something.]
[A loud, surprised laugh escapes him when Katsuki pushes at his face, but to counter, Yoosung takes that hand and holds it in his own, both grinning and blushing.
Ha! Caught your hand now, Katsuki, whatcha gonna do about it?
He's not entwining their fingers or anything, but yes, he is definitely holding it again.]
