Today Katsuki and Yoosung are out on a little shopping date. Looking for something for Yoosung to wear to the ball. Katsuki hasn't minded following Yoosung around while he debated colors and styles of various clothes. He's offered his opinions when asked. And now Yoosung has taken some options to the changing rooms to try them on.
Katsuki is sitting outside the rooms, waiting. Absently tapping away on his phone until he hears the door open. He instantly puts his phone away to give Yoosung his full attention as he steps out of the dressing room.
The place they've gone to is decidedly expensive, but that should be expected. Yoosung doesn't go to these places often, but he has been a few times in his life. He's not sure if Katsuki has, or what he thinks of there being champagne on offer while people are trying on clothes.
Yoosung finally decides to try something bold like Harleen had suggested on the Libra app. Something backless. He chooses a satin jumpsuit, a deep sapphire blue with flowy white sleeves and gold embroidered detailing, and a golden star brooch at the neck. The very bold part of this though is the open back, which dips close to the end of his spine.
He walks out of the dressing room and nervously clears his throat to get Katsuki's attention before doing a slow 180 turn for him to take in the back.
It hasn't come up in conversation as of yet, but Katsuki isn't a stranger to expensive stores. It would be impossible to tell he'd ever set foot in one, given his wardrobe seems to be almost entirely tanktops, sweats and basketball shorts. But in fact, his parents are fashion designers.
That might come up later when Katsuki finally shows Yoosung his own formal wear for the party.
For now, he stands up when Yoosung comes out, moving closer to watch him turn. Eyes following the way the fabric moves on him. And as he turns away, Katsuki's gaze follows that low dip in the back...
And much like when Yoosung's wings appeared, suddenly there are a pair of red-tipped, white fox ears poking out from Katsuki's hair. And a fluffy tail to match. Katsuki hasn't noticed. His attention is fully on his boyfriend.
"It looks good on you." He steps closer. Would Yoosung get cold in it? Ah. If he does, he can just wear Katsuki's jacket. It's fine. "You feel comfortable in it?"
While Katsuki's attention is fully on him, Yoosung is focused on Katsuki's reaction to the outfit. He is in the midst of turning and one second Katsuki is Katsuki and the next, when he's back to facing his boyfriend, Katsuki has ears and a tail.
Yoosung's eyes go wide. Those aren't fake, they appeared far too fast for Katsuki to have attached them or anything. He reaches for one of the pointy ears anyway, feeling the need to touch to make sure they're real.
As Yoosung touches an ear, it twitches and Katsuki feels the touch and the movement. His eyes widen and his hands go up to the new ears. He looks around for a mirror, finding one right beside them, staring into it.
"What the fuck?"
His eyes flicker to Yoosung's reflection in the mirror behind him.
He turns and grabs Yoosung's wrist. He didn't hate it. He just wasn't expecting it. And now he's flustered by his own weird reaction to it. He stands there, holding that wrist for a moment. Watching Yoosung. His cheeks are still pink but he holds Yoosung's gaze for a few moments before looking away.
"...forget the ears and tail. You look good in that. You like it?"

"...They're ears. Animal ears."
Fox ears. Something catches his eye. Oh no...
"And a fucking tail??"

"Ah... It's cute... You really do match your Palisman now..."
He touches Katsuki's tail lightly too. It's soft. Ahhh, he's got a boyfriend that's even more cuddle-able than before!!

"Who are you calling cute?? You're the cute one in this relationship, damn you!"
What kind of retort is that supposed to be?
